Hout Bay Harbour: The Hout Bay Harbour is a hive of activity as the fishing boats, yachts and charter boats leave and enter the harbour all day. A craft market at the water's edge, the Kraal Kraft curio shop, restaurants and the seagulls provide further entertainment for visitors and locals alike. The annual Snoek Derby weekend festival takes place in August and includes a fun fair, live music, food stalls and a snoek cookout. Boats leave the harbour at sunrise on the last day of the festival and are judged on the largest snoek caught. Book on a sunset cruise, a trip to Duiker Island the home to Cape Fur Seals, visit the Fisheries Museum, the Yacht Club, go Surf Skiing or Sea Kayaking, Deep Sea Fishing or even Shark Cage Diving. |
